New Rider Resources
Did you have the opportunity to take advantage of our lowest Freebord prices all year? If you answered yes, then welcome to the Freebord family!
(If you answered no, we’ll still adopt you).
Now that you have your new Freebord, we’re here to provide you with all the “new rider” resources you’ll need to get you spreading the shred in no time.
So maybe you’re still not quite sure what you ordered? No problem, we’ll break it down for you.
But first, here’s a little preview of what you’ll be looking like in no time:
Stoked yet? Now it’s time to get your board built! There are several parts to a Freebord and the picture below highlights each of them. From the trucks to S2 bindings, each part plays an intricate role in enjoying your Freebord as a new rider! Click HERE for a detailed breakdown of each part.
Now that you know what each part is and where it goes – it’s time to assemble! You’ll first want to mount your bindings to the deck, followed by mounting your trucks, then tuning your board! For complete details click HERE or check out the video below for our tuning and set-up suggestions from Freebord pro team rider Mike Hoppe.
Once your board is built and tuned it’s time to get comfortable. Getting on a Freebord as a first time rider can be intimidating – but we’re here to make it as simple as possible! Take a look at our quick “Before You Ride” 1 minute video before you hit the hills.
One of the biggest questions we get is “How do I stop?” – and this (really?) important. Explaining how to stop is easier to show than tell, so check out the video below!

We encourage all you Freebord riders to join the Freebord community!
We have several ways of doing that:
1. Start a conversation in the Freebord forum! This is your place to get tips, favorite spots, and other Freebord news from fellow riders!
2. Join our Facebook community page! Our community page is a great place to post pictures, videos, and local ride events!
4. Give us a call! We’re always happy to talk to riders.
Lastly, we’re stoked you have a Freebord and can’t wait to see ya on the hills!
