Longboardism.Com just picked up the 2012 Pro Team Video on their blog. It’s a small blog, but what’s cooler is that they picked up on the fact that “the big change this year is everyone is wearing a helmet.” Psyched to see some outsiders taking some notice to Wear a Helmet 4ST!

Check out the story here.

Big props to the guys at Smorgasboarder Magazine in Australia for writing a great feature about Freebord. These guys really did their research and took the time to learn how to ride our boards, which definitely showed up in their article. Thanks, Mark!

Your board’s all tuned, you’ve got the perfect playlist ready to go and you’re just about to hit that first hill of the day… what’s the last thing you need to remember before you drop? If you’re like us, you strap on your helmet, give your 4ST sticker a little love tap and start bombing! Why? Because we’re around skateboards all day and know full well the consequences of not wearing a helmet.

But that’s just our reason. We want to know why you wear a helmet!

Tell us why you wear a helmet and you could win a free Triple Eight helmet and a bunch of 4ST Decals. We don’t care whether it’s because your mom makes you do it or because you generally value your own health — we hope it’s the latter. Just let us know why it’s important for you to wear a helmet and we’ll pick our favorite entry to send a free Triple Eight helmet and some 4ST decals.

To enter, just write your response in the comments of this blog post before Friday, February 3. You must have taken the 4ST Pledge in order to enter. Click here to take the pledge.

A big thanks to Triple Eight for providing the helmet to run this contest! Check them out online at www.triple8.com.

You guys did it! You really did it!

Last week, we asked riders to show us how they’ve been getting through this snowless winter by creating some sort of crazy, creative, project and everyone came back with some epically weird — but awesome — stuff. But now that it’s snowing out here on the West Coast it’s time to pick the top three projects, all of whom win a free set of Da Blues wheels.

Here are your top three No Snow No Problem projects, in no particular order. Congrats to Tyrone Corbett, Byron Treece and Dallas Phillips! We’ll be hitting you up via Facebook to get your address so we can send you some new Da Blues!

Dallas Phillips — “Bently Poster”

Tyrone Corbett — “No snow, No Problem…make your own snow”

Byron Treece — “No Snow No Problem”

Back in early January, the Calaveras Enterprise did a story about Darren Baca and Adam Stanton winning the 2011 Freebord Best Submitted Video Contest.

Last week, another Sonora, CA local paper, the Union Democrat, wrote a little follow up piece about the BSV-winning duo. Nice work again, guys!

Check out the followup story here and check out their award-winning video below.
