Perhaps you have already seen them riding the streets of Brianconnais. They are the representants of a previously unknown sport, but today it promises a beautiful future: the freebord.

With a deck longer than a skateboard, 4 wheels plus 2 extra wheels that can pivot 360, and bindings for the feet. Essentially, that is what a Freebord is.

For the riders, there is only one objectif: to recrate the sensation of snowboarding on the streets. One ambition: freedom.

On a small slope in the area surrounding a small town, or on the streets of Puy-saint-pierre, the riders can make their descents, strong in sensation.

But caution, this freedom can prove dangerous on the streets. And even though there is no specific law for Freeborders, rider must respect the highway code and safety laws, if they are to avoid putting themselves in danger.

Much like in other extreme sports, followers of Freebord have formed a strong community. No competition, but a taste for unity, and simplicity. In Brianconnais, there are half a dozen riders.

For Corentin, a rider in Brianconnais, "freebord is a means of meeting other people, other horizons, and those who practice a sport with passion."

Proof of the development in this region, two pioneers of Freebording in France, have departed on a "Represent Tour." Arnaud Blin, and Jonothan Ehm. The explaination of the two rider is very simple, to make Freebord known world wide.

" the represent tour is a journey we are going on in the South of France, to reflect what a team are doing on the West Coast of the USA (the birthplace of Freebord). Our aim was to gather riders and make them discover the sport. We have been able to notice the divide in all different passions.

That's the spirit of Freebord!!

THAT TOOK ME FUCKING AGES, BE APPRECIATIVE.
